Course Content

In our Six Sigma Master Black Belt course you will learn how to lead, plan and implement Six Sigma projects in your company. In our block seminar you will become familiar with a wide range of tools and methods for structured process improvement and learn how to apply and implement them.

In complex improvement projects the Six Sigma Master Black Belt takes over the role of the project manager. Furthermore the Master Black Belt supports the Six Sigma Black Belts selecting statistical methods and tools. He is responsible for the qualification of Six Sigma Green Belts and Black Belts and furthermore for the development of Six Sigma training concepts.

Target Group

This course aims at experienced Six Sigma Black Belts who want to develop their skills and their role as project manager, process owner and leader. As a Six Sigma Master Black Belt you will be trained to identify improvement potentials and to actively shape changes in your company. You will lead larger Six Sigma projects with the support of Green Belts and Black Belts. Additionally you will be able to conduct Six Sigma trainings up to the level of the Six Sigma Black Belt.

Certificate and examination

The participant will receive all the certificates from the CEC Saar in english and german language. After passing the examination, the participant will acquire 5 ECTS points which can be credited in subject-specific courses of study.

CERTIFICATES:

  • Certificate of attendance: The participant was present on all 10 days of the event

  • Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt (5 ECTS): The participant was present on all 10 days of the course, submitted and presented two papers on different Six Sigma topics and passed the exam. The examination lasts 4 hours and is held on the last day of the course or on a day agreed with the participants.

Note

Our training content is conform with the ISO standards ISO13053-1:2011, ISO 13053-2:2011 and ISO 18404:2015 as well as with the guidelines of the American ASQ. The ASQ is the American Society for Quality, which describes and defines the content and requirements of the various training courses.

Course fee

The costs for the course amount to 7.250,00€ excl. VAT per person and include the two block events of 2x5 days including seminar documents, lunch and coffee breaks and the examination fees.

Course Requirements

  • Prior knowledge Six Sigma: at least 3 years of Six Sigma Black Belt experience or 3 completed Six Sigma projects as Black Belt

  • Laptop with statistics software Minitab (trial version available for the 1st training block)

  • English: A2, as the course is in english

Course Schedule

The course consists of 2 block courses of 5 days each and takes place from Monday to Friday from 09:00 - 17:00 o'clock, or by arrangement with the participants. The dates for the Six Sigma Master Black Belt training in 2020 have not yet been fixed and will be arranged with the participants.

You will receive the course documents from us on the first day of the block event. The documents are in English, this way, participants will become familiar with the content and terminology of the internationally implemented Six Sigma concept. On request, it is also possible to hold the seminars of the Master Black Belt course in German.

The examination will take place on the last day of the event. A different date is also possible in agreement with the participants. The examination is a written test with a duration of 4 hours.

Furthermore, the participants have to prepare two papers with presentation. The papers have to be prepared during the week of the block event and presented at the end of the respective week. The first topic is a theoretical elaboration on a Six Sigma topic. The paper for the second block event explains a complex Six Sigma instrument by using an example.
